Baptist Training Union

One of the most important focuses of the Baptist way of life is its emphasis on training.

The Baptist Training seeks to train only those who are Christians and are part of a local fellowship. It seeks to train the entire membership. The internal witness, training and making disciples within the local fellowship is imperative. If the local church does not practice what it teaches and preaches, it is unlikely to have little, if any, effect upon the world beyond its doors. Before any member is given responsibility that requires supervision of other, they themselves should have received at least minimum training within the local Baptist Training Union.

The Ministry of the Training Union

  • Discovering, recruiting and training new church leaders in order to enhance church membership and strengthen church workers.
  • Developing and promoting christian growth in the life of new converts through continuing orientation.
  • Motivating present membership and leadership to utilize thier gifts and to grow spiritual; to the glory and praise of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

(Training church leaders, doctrinal instructions, soul winning, training stewards and productive worshippers)

Brotherhood

The Brotherhood Union is a group, many of few, of consecrated men undergirding of supporting the enitre program of The Church and Denomination. It is not something thought up in the mind of man, it is of divine origin. The Biblical beginning of The Brotherhood Union is found in the 18th chapter of Exodus and Acts 7:38. The objective of The Brotherhood Union is to enlist every layman in The Church, Junior or Senior, and cause them to be useful in service to Christ. Under the Brother Union are the young men of the church called the Young David's and Junior Laymen between the ages of 8 to Adult.

The Brotherhood Union has a fourfold purpose:

  • To deepen men spiritually or to deepen the spirituality of men
  • To promote religious intelligence
  • To cultivate Christian fellowship
  • To win the lost to Christ (Matthew 28:19-20)

Sunday School

The Sunday, being the teaching arm of the church, is the only auxiliary of the church which has saved as well as unsaved comprising its membership. This is why the aim of our Sunday School is "To convert the unconverted and strengthen the converted."

The textbook for our school is the Bible. We also use graded material that conforms to our Baptist beliefs. II Timothy 3:16-17 states that "All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works."

Every member of the Church should be a member of the Sunday School. This would afford an opportunity to study The Word and be given individual attention in his Christian growth.
